Is is just me, or is wishing someone a "nice VD" somewhat hilarious?

So the BBQ has officially been moved to tomorrow, so that people can actually come.  Still planning to start after 2pm.  So at the moment I've got sausages inna bun, and chicken on a stick.  We're also gonna need beverages, salads and snacks.  If you're coming, bring an item from one of those categories and you'll be welcomed with open arms ;).

Due to the impending return of the family for whom I've been house-sitting, this weekend is the last opportunity for fun by the pool at my current abode.  I'm therefore calling shenanigans for my place this Saturday from 2pm onward.  Looks like the weather's gonna be nice, so I'll clean the pool.  I'll also try to dig up the BBQ.   RSVP in the comments, and we'll try to get a reasonable range of food between people who come.

Well, the restraint and fiscal responsibility thing didn't really take, and I'm now the proud owner of a shiny new toy.  Tried very hard not to play right through mario the first night ;)  The old nintendonitis took care of that though :(

Nice piece of kit though.  The deeply geeky parts of my brain will force me to put linux on it the next time I've got nothing better to do.  For now though, train rides are gonna be the good part of my day.

Note to self: When I start sneezing so hard I think my face is going to come off, it's time to stop petting the cat, no matter how pushy it is. ;)

So, anyone heading to the newtown festival this sunday?  I feel the need for stalls and sunburn. ;)

Just saw a poster for Beowulf, coming out at the end of November.  It must be watched by many geeks in helmets with horns!  This is not optional. ;)
